It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 


1.       Organiser

This competition is organised by Equus Journeys, a brand of Cheval d’Aventure - Registered  as a travel agent (package including flights) with Atout France N° IM069100050, Registered address: 2 rue Vaubecour- 69002 LYON – France, represented by Christophe Leservoisier. This competition is in partnership with Ariat. 


2.       Eligibility

This competition is open to individuals who:

  • Are aged 21 years or over at the time of entry; and
  • Are legally resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom at the time of entry.
  • Are competent riders and meet the specified riding requirements including weight limit. Those who do not match the requirements will be automatically disqualified.

The following are not eligible to enter:

  • Employees of Equus or its affiliated companies;
  • Employees of any partner organisations involved in the competition (including prize providers);
  • Immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling) of the above.
Equus Journeys reserves the right to verify eligibility and to request proof of age and residence. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification.


3.       Prize Details

The prize consists of one five 5-night riding holiday package for two people at Macatoo Camp in Botswana (full-board with daily rides or activities included at camp and light aircraft transfers to/from Maun) and a £1000 Ariat voucher each for the winner and their guest (redeemable at the Ariat website).


The prize:
  • Is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • The prize must be redeemed outside the high season (which runs 15th June - 15th October) and on available dates only, upon consultation with an Equus Journeys advisor. 

Unless expressly stated, the prize does not include:
  • International flights;
  • Travel insurance;
  • Visas or entry requirements;
  • Personal expenses (including drinks, tips, and optional activities).

The winner is responsible for ensuring:
  • They hold a valid passport;
  • They meet all visa, health, and travel requirements.

If the winner is unable to travel for any reason (including visa refusal or failure to meet entry requirements), no alternative prize or compensation will be offered.

4.       Redemption and Terms

The prize must be redeemed within 2 years of the competition end date. Booking are subject to general terms and conditions as per all Equus Journeys bookings: click here

The prize is not exchangeable, refundable, or transferable.


5. Entry Requirements
Entry is free of charge and no purchase is necessary. To enter, participants must:

  • Complete the official entry form; and
  • Provide accurate and complete contact details.
Only one entry per person is permitted unless otherwise stated. Multiple entries may result in disqualification.
Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or submitted after the closing date will not be accepted.

6.       Competition partner:

This competition will be run cojointly with our partner Ariat and African Horseback Safaris (Macatoo Camp).


7.       Additional Entry

All participants can get an extra entry by posting a picture of our tradestand or about an Equus Journeys holiday on their social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X) and tagging us. Private accounts entries are allowed but participants must show their post directly to an Equus representative or send a screenshot to info@equus-journeys.com so it can be taken into account.


8.       How to Enter

Competition will start on the 1st of May, 2026 at 9:00 am. Scan the QR code or follow the link to access the official entry form. The form must be filled out in full by Friday the 22nd of May, 5:00 pm (all times are UK times). Entries will be closed after that time.

Only one entry form is allowed per person. Multiple form entries for the same person will not be considered.


9.       Results

Results will be announced on June 5th, 2026, and the winner will be determined through a draw organised by Equus Journeys. The winner will be notified by email and phone using the details provided at entry.


If the winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, or declines the prize, we reserve the right to select an alternative winner.


10. Liability

Equus Journeys and partners will not be liable for:

  • Any loss, damage, or injury suffered by participants as a result of entering the competition or accepting the prize, except where caused by negligence or fraud;
  • Any cancellation, delay, or modification of the prize due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

The prize is provided by third-party partners. Equus Journeys is not responsible for the performance of those partners, although it will use reasonable efforts to ensure quality.

11.   Disclaimer

Equus Journeys reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates the rules or does not meet the eligibility criteria.

Equus Journeys is not responsible for any technical issues, lost or delayed entries, or any other circumstances beyond its control.


Equus Journeys reserves the right to:
  • Cancel, suspend, or amend the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control;
  • Substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value if required.
12.   Personal Data

Personal data concerning participants is collected with their consent as part of this competition to establish the participant's identity, notify them in case of winning, and award the allocated prize. Participants can unsubscribe from the Equus Journeys and Ariat mailing lists at any time.


By entering, participants agree that Equus Journeys may use the winner’s:
  • First name;
  • General location (country or region);
for promotional purposes, including on its website and social media.

Any additional publicity (e.g. photos, testimonials) will be subject to the winner’s prior consent.

13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by French law.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights applicable in the participant’s country of residence.

14. Acceptance
By entering this competition, participants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
